TOTS AND FAMILY SERVICES

If you have children – or grandchildren – we have services that are perfect for all of you.

If your children or grandchildren are under five, our Tots’ evening and morning Shabbat services are just right. Parents and grandparents are especially welcome at these special services with music and singing.

They’re usually held on the second Saturday morning of every month at 11.00am in the Children's Synagogue.

Children between five and eight – also parents, siblings and, especially, grandparents – are welcome at our Family Shabbat service, an interactive service in which the whole family can take part. It’s usually held on the third Saturday morning of every month at 11.00 am in the Children’s Synagogue.

Both of these services are an integral part of our learning programme for youngsters. Read more about the programme.

We also offer a range of parallel services for adults, see below.

PARALLEL SERVICES

We have a range of parallel services with rousing melodies, infectious rhythms, exploration and thought provoking discussion.

  • Shabbat Shira
Main Sanctuary 7:15pm. On the first and third Friday evening of the month This is a less formal version of the Friday evening service. The rabbi is accompanied by a group of musicians. “Shira” means singing and the emphasis is on a vibrant, participatory service with lots of singing and modern music. There is no sermon.
