After a first career as a speech therapist, she was ordained as a rabbi in 1990 and served the Liberal Jewish Synagogue for nine years before coming to West London Synagogue. She is continuing her training in psychotherapeutic skills and is a tutor and teacher at the Leo Baeck College Rabbinical School. She is married to David, a Jungian analyst and rabbi.
