As summer approaches, we look forward, with excitement, to joining all of our event partners to celebrate PRIDE 2018.
West London Synagogue’s contribution to PRIDE in London has become a popular feature in the annual calendar for the LGBT+ Jewish Community, attracting many new friends each year. Join us this year – LGBT+ or not – standing in proud solidarity as we celebrate diversity and having a really fun time to boot!
Friday 6 July at West London Synagogue
7.15pm An upbeat and festive ‘Pride in Our Future’ service launches the weekend of celebrations. This musical Shabbat service will be led by the next generation of recently ordained LGBT+ Rabbis and student Rabbis. There will be a sermon by Dalia Fleming, Executive Director of KeshetUK and the uplifting sounds of the WLS Shabbat Shira musicians. All welcome.
8.30pm After the service join WLS’s Rabbi David Mitchell for kiddush and a festive catered (meat free) buffet supper and bar. All are welcome and the event has been generously sponsored, but to assist us with gauging supper numbers and to support WLS’s LGBT activities we recommend a minimum £5 donation via https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/eretz or via Kathryn Forro in the WLS Office: 020 7535 0259. Further donations above this amount are always warmly welcomed.
9.30pm by popular demand, we are delighted to welcome back the London Gay Big Band for their return concert:
Featuring a selection of their best toe-tapping Pride-themed arrangements, they’ll have you bopping on the pews and dancing in the aisles. Free admission and all supper guests are very welcome.
10.30pm Goodbye drinks at the complimentary bar
