To mark Mental Health Awareness Week, we screen a story of two sisters, one of whom has learning difficulties and behaves in a challenging way which provokes the other. Their relationship has its ups and downs, but ultimately they are loyal to one another. A hard watch, but we can see why the film took the Cannes Film Festival by storm. The WLS Social Care team will join us for the after-screening Q&A. Doors open at 7pm, with screenings starting at 7.45pm.

Kolnoa-Cinema: Akhim/Brothers

Two long estranged brothers, one observant and the other secular, come back into contact and work out their own differences, whilst a court battle is fought over the rights of yeshiva students to claim exemption from Army duty. The production is unsophisticated, but gives us a keen feel for the unsolved issue of separation of State and religion in Israel. 7.00pm snacks and refreshments, 7.45pm screening. Free entry, but donations towards catering are invited.
