World AIDS Day 2021

Sunday 5 December

18.00:         World AIDS Day Memorial Service - no charge, all welcome

19.15:         Concert - £20 (£15 unwaged, £10 WLS  20+30+, £10 LGMC friends & family)

20.30:         Post concert celebratory dinner & fundraiser - The vegetarian meal has been generously sponsored, which is why we are asking people to make a £10 donation to reserve their dinner tickets. The seated dinner has limited capacity and the catered food will be served in a Covid-safe way.

Join WLS and the Jewish AIDS Trust us as we light the final candles on the eighth night of Chanukah/the Festival of Lights. We welcome back into our glorious Sanctuary the fabulous London Gay Men’s Chorus, in this, our first major in-person event since the start of the pandemic. Special measures will be in place to protect your safety.

As always, the service will be heart-warming, life-affirming, moving and joyous. We are proud once again to be supporting the work of the Israel AIDS Task Force, and this year also a new charitable initiative Step for Change Jamaica, which serves at risk groups in    Jamaican prisons. We will be joined online or by film by speakers representing both charities. Join us for prayers, songs, readings, a moment to light candles and remember those whom we have lost over the years, and a celebration of the progress the World has made in caring for people with HIV/AIDS.

The Concert will feature the stunning voices of the London Gay Men’s Chorus, the largest choir of this type in Europe, with a stunning repertoire of songs that will move and inspire you, and certainly have you clapping along, and singing in your hearts all the way home!

Bring your friends and family to this truly special event. All warmly welcomed.

The dinner has limited capacity - please book early. Deadline for online bookings is Tuesday 30 November.

Proceeds to: Israel AIDS Task Force and Step for Change Jamaica
