Information session and Q&A on home hosting for Ukrainian refugees with Sara Nathan, a WLS member and part of the management team at Refugees at Home.

We are now able to support a limited number of WLS members who can host and who are looking for Ukrainian individuals, couples, or families. We are working with a few Ukrainian groups in London to help match people with rooms and empty properties.

To find out more please contact Nic Schlagman.

We are making a tangible and immediate difference to the lives of people fleeing the war and violence. You can help us continue this work.

Building on our relationships with on-the-ground partners in the region, we now ask you to consider continuing your support in the following ways:

West London Synagogue will be open on Sundays from 10.30am – 4pm to receive the following donations only

    1. First aid supplies – paracetamol, aspirin, bandages, cotton wool, antiseptic wipes, first aid kits, plasters, antibacterial hand gel
    2. Brand new toiletries – soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, baby wipes, shower gel, deodorants, nappies, tissues
    3. Non-perishable food – pasta, rice, tinned food with ring pull, chocolate spread, peanut butter, jam, nutrition bars, chocolate bars, sweets, cuppa soups, coffee, tea, sugar

Donations can also be dropped here on Shabbat if you are coming to services.

These items will be sorted and boxed at the synagogue each Sunday and delivered each Monday to a distribution hub in Northampton where it will be loaded on to lorries and sent to the Ukrainian border. This project is being delivered alongside Goods For Good.

There is also spaces for volunteers to assist with sorting and packing donations on a Sunday. For more information please be in touch with Nic Schlagman

We anticipate this list of items will change week by week and will begin to include warm winter clothing. Please check the WLS website for an updated list

Make a financial donation to enable our partners and us to continue to deliver this important work.
