For US Taxpayers – the West London Synagogue Friends Fund

Because US taxpayers cannot necessarily donate directly to foreign charitable organisations and obtain a tax deduction, we have partnered with CAF America to create a “Friends Fund”. CAF America is a global grantmaking organisation that assists foundations, charities, corporations and individuals.

The Friends Fund will help US taxpayers make contributions to us as efficiently as possible. As a US public charity, CAF America is able to accept donations into the West London Synagogue Friends Fund at CAF America. Net funds, after a small handling fee paid to CAF America, are then transferred onwards to us.

There are three main ways you can donate to the West London Synagogue Friends Fund at CAF America: 

• Credit Card: You can make a donation online from your credit card to the West London Synagogue Friend’s Fund by going through to our page on the CAF America website.  Alternatively, you can submit a completed gift form, including your credit card information, by email to [email protected]. Please be sure to indicate on the gift form that your donation is designated for the West London Synagogue Friends Fund. 

• Cheque: Please send your cheque to CAF America at 225 Reinekers Lane, Suite 375, Alexandria, VA 22314, USA. Please be sure to include a completed gift form which indicates that the donation is for the West London Synagogue Friends Fund. 

• Wire Transfer: Please find wire transfer information here. When setting up the transfer, please include somewhere in the details that the donation is intended for the West London Synagogue Friends Fund. Always be cautious when sharing wire information, please do so through an encrypted email.
