We follow Safer Recruitment Procedures. All volunteering roles require an application form, informal chat, references and in some cases an interview and DBS (criminal record check).

Social Action Appeal

‘Social Action’ at WLS can be defined as hands-on work that helps the vulnerable and the disadvantaged in the wider community beyond our doors, while at the same time helping us create stronger bonds among our community.

Lunches

Lunch clubs primarily for the active retired, no age restriction and everyone is very welcome!
Tea Parties

For our senior members, offering them an opportunity to socialise with other members of the community.
Bereavement Groups

Above all else, we want to make sure that no one in our community is alone, or abandoned at a time of need.

We offer a complete caring and safe environment in which to share issues in total confidence with people who understand what you are going through.
Feeding Folk

Feeding Folk is an interfaith project that delivers meals to London’s street homeless on two Sundays a month.

One Sunday afternoon each month, we welcome families who have been made destitute while seeking asylum in the UK.
Winter Night Shelter

The Night Shelter runs every Saturday night from October to May, for fifteen local homeless people.
